Can you believe Beatrix Potter's Peter Rabbit is over 100 years old? What better way to introduce your child to the world of Peter Rabbit than with this new line of Peter Rabbit plush by Kids Preferred - especially since Peter and his sisters Flopsy, Mopsy and Cotton-tail, are part of the brand new, Peter Rabbit™ Naturally Better line of plush. These unique products are produced in accordance with The World of Beatrix Potter™ initiative, backed by a Corporate Social Responsibility Charter, with the aim of developing products which are better for the environment, better for mothers and children and better for the people who make them.
And did you know that Beatrix Potter was one of the world’s first environmentalists? In later life Potter settled in the English Lake District where she became a farmer on the land and with the money she acquired from the sale of her books she was able to add to her estate. On her death in 1943 she bequeathed her farms and over 4,000 acres of land to the National Trust, England’s premier charity dedicated to conservation, heritage and learning, so that it should remain unspoilt forever.

I loved Peter Rabbit growing up. This would be fantastic to win, thank you!! As for what we do for the environment, we do what I consider 'the basics' (recycle, compost, use cloth napkins, unplug appliances, have changed our lightbulbs, etc). My husband gets a gold star though, as he bikes to work. We also only own 1 car, by choice. We shop organic (clothes, food, toys), and the neighborhood farmers markets. As a family, I think we do pretty good, but honestly, there is always more to do! laurachilton {at} hotmail {dot} com
Peter is too cute. This green version is actually cuter than many I have seen. For the environment, we chose to live in an area where almost all of our errands are walkable, limiting time in the car, recycle, use cloth bags for shopping, buy most baby products from craigslist rather than buying new, buy locally grown produce, etc. We are working every day to do more
lnjane [at] yahoo [dot] com
We are driving less, buying local, growing our own vegetables, and recycling!
kelli (at) pfrog (dot) net
we compost and steal vegetables from peoples' gardens. just kidding on that last one.
baburdette @ cox. net
I still have some of my old books with peter rabbit....in our family we recycle...carpool...use a tote when shopping....shop organic.

Oh I loved Peter Rabbit as a kid! I've recently switched to all natural 'green' cleaning products to help the environment. And I use re-usable bags whenever I can!
sj1026(at)gmail(dot)com
We use cloth diapers and hang our laundry on a line to dry. I use canvas shopping bags almost all the time--meaning whenever they're not hanging on the doorknob waiting to be brought to the car! : ) We buy almost no processed food, organic when we can, and only cage free/free range poultry/beef products. We recycle everything we can, buy used when possible, and reduce and conserve where ever possible.
Peter Rabbit and the other Beatrix Potter stories (and Paddington Bear) were what my Mom read to me as a child! I love Peter Rabbit!
We've switched over to buying organic whenever possible, as well as using reusable shopping bags.
That's so cute! In our family, we recycle, compost, changed lighbulbs, etc. We use canvas/tote bags for shopping. We hope to continue doing that and more in order to help out. : )

We are working on going "Green" little by little. Our latest challenge is to use natural sunlight instead of having the lights on.
Love these! We do lots of little htings - we recycle and compost, we use reusable bags, CF bulbs, little heat, we buy organic and local when possible. only one of us drives to work, and we use mostly used kids clothes and toys!
chornerdevine at gmail dooot com
I breastfeed, use cloth diapers, use reusable bags for shopping, and have a container garden for the summer.
We just started recycling everything we can. I didn't realize how much our city will take. Our garbage is so much less and it feels great to recycle. staci dot jones at gmail dot com.
We do the usual: reusable bags, recycle everything, use recycled paper products, and we just started cloth diapers!
We do a bunch but my new thing is making our own cleaners and giving up my beloved paper towels.
Too cute! We recycle and reuse stuff when possible. For example, we reuse plastic bottles and cardboard in projects. Once we get sick of the homemade toys, they go in the recycle bin. I try to shop the local Farmers Markets whenever possible and buy as much organic food as we can. Instead of buying individual snacks or juice boxes, we use refillable containers and water bottles.
afsk003[at]gmail[dot]com
recycle, recycle, recycle!
The most recent thing I did for the environment was to buy an organic cotton quilt when I needed a new one for our bed. The more organic cotton we buy, the more retailers will sell, and fewer chemicals get into the earth! Thanks so much!
This is great! I have recently started to grown my own veggies and some fruits, while I shop locally for the rest.
We were just reading about Peter Rabbit and Benjamin Bunny today! Thanks! We have a one cup per day rule. The kids quick rinse their glass out when they want a new drink. It save a lot of room in the dishwasher!
I just ordered 7 canvas shopping bags off of ebay last night. We switched to all of the new bulbs. I also contacted the city requesting a recycle bin. Here they're supposed to provide them, one per household, free of charge and I never got one yet. When I do go to the store, I try to make them put more things in one bag (since I don't have my canvas ones yet). I've just been on an environmental kick lately.
We limit our road trips and I work close to home.

I have been using re-usable shopping bags to carry my groceries home in for more than 10 years...even way before it was "cool" to do so. We also compost nearly all of our organic matter, and are fastidious when it comes to recycling paper, plastic, and metal cans. I try to waste as little as possible.

My family and I have been working to help the environment by buying mostly organic food, purchasing organic clothing for our daughter, and are trying to teach our little one how important it is the help the earth. We conserve energy and water whenever possible, and drive only when necessary! Plus, I promote eco-friendly products on my blog!
chicshopperchick (at) gmail (dot) com
We buy locally and support our farmers through a CSA. We also use cloth diapers for the kiddos, and green cleaning solutions.
Reusable shopping bags, cloth diapers, cloth napkins and towels--basically our focus right now is on using all reusable instead of disposable products. We also recycle and do many things to conserve energy and fuel.

thanks!
hi wow its realy nice well how my family helps the environmet well we recycle every thing and reuse every thing that can be reuseable thats how we do that and we even clean i home with vinger and bakeing soda just all kinds of things thanks
How cute is that Peter Rabbit? I would love to be entered in your giveaway! As for our family's going green initiatives: we use cloth bags for our shopping, avoid cleaners in our home by using a Lady Bug Vapor Steam cleaner in our home, we recycle paper, plastic, glass, the list goes on and on.
owatz (AT) telus (Dot) net
I use all reusable bags when I go shopping and try to reuse anything I can. I also try to buy mostly organic foods, etc. Great giveaway, thanks! hellomary018 at yahoo dot com
Oh, that's so cute!
Our town doesn't recycle, but there are paper recycling bins around, so we save up junk mail, magazines, used paper (we try to use both sides), etc and bring that to the bins to be recycled rather than just throwing it out.
I have just started reading the petter rabbit stories to my son and this would be a great addition. I have been slowing getting our family to go more and more green. We recycle what we can. I just bought reusable grocery bags. I am also slowly switching our family to use healthier soaps and cleaning products.
I have started walking to work, and the days I don't, I carpool with my husband. I also am buying as much of our food as I can from local farmers
lindsey l chickpeas_tatertots @ mac. com
We buy organic milk in glass bottles.
These stuffed animals look great!
We would love to more than we do, but one that I've always done is to vegetable garden and can or freeze our produce.
khmorgan_00[at]yahoo[dot]com
Reusable grocery bags, non toxic cleaners and recycling!
dansan826 at yahoo.com
We started recycling over a year ago, just started carrying our own coffee cups and canteens, use cloth napkins and are buying into a CSA. What a great toy! I love Beatrix Potter and Petter Rabbit and so do my kids. :)

My family really has "green" on the mind. One of many things we do in an effort to take care of the environment is to recycle and reuse materials as much as possible. It's amazing how you can find new purposes for old things. We also try not to buy new material items--when we need something, we look for it used on Craigslist.

Hi, I love that so many companies are going green and doing it successfully. Peter Rabbit is so cute! Our family has turned down the temperature on the water heater. We take shorter showers(which isn't too difficult when we run out of hot water)! We stopped drinking water in plastic bottles. Pleas enter me in your drawing for Mr. Peter Rabbit.
Many thanks,Cindi
jchoppes[at]hotmail[dot]com
We have only one car. Thus my daughter and I walk and/or use public transportation nearly everyday.
We're using re-useable grocery bags and energy efficient light bulbs.
I am helping the environment in many, many ways.
First of all, all my transportation is either by walking, public transportation(subway, bus), or walking and public transportation.
Secondly, when I'm in a store, and they are handing me a plastic bag to carry my purchase in, I refuse it. I have long arms...I can carry my stuff just fine, without harming the environment!
Another thing I do in order to help save our environment is that whenever I receive a package in the mail, either a box or padded envelope, I rip off the return label on the box or envelope, and put it away for future use.
Please enter me in the contest. Thanks!!!
By the way, my email address is cake240@gmail.com. Please read above post for how I'm trying to help the environment out. Thank you!
We have recently started using g diapers, we use the energy safer light bulbs if possible, we are trying to rid ourselves of plastic and we shop organic if we can!!...we'd love to win the adorable Peter Rabbit...Please pick us!!!
We recycle, eat organic, use seventh generation products, and have just ordered siggs to rid of plastic bottles!
Stephanie V.
recycle, freecycle, use totes, grow veggies and my daughter is in charge of turning off extra lights and water when not in use
we recycle, freecycle, use reusable bags, avoid as much plastic as possible... have gone glass... lol.. glas bottles, food storage, etc. conserve as much energy as possible, and we used to bike ALOT, but with DH being active duty and gone ALOT... i have yet to find a solution for cycling with 2 5month olds. (by myself).. lol...
We have replaced all of our old light bulbs with the new LED ones.
use energy saving light bulbs, open the windows and save on ac some in the summer, freecycle, don't litter and pick it up when we see it,use green cleaners, if its not in use its off.
Thanks for the chance to win!
We've been replacing our light bulbs, using rechargeable batteries, I've cut down my driving A LOT!, don't use air conditioning, canvas bags for grocery shopping, we've always recycled, some composting would like to do more, cut down time in shower, replaced toilet with one that uses less water, hang majority of laundry to dry, keep computer off as much as possible, unplug unused appliances, quit buying water bottles, I'm sure there is more but I've listed quite a bit. Peter is SO cute!
the newest things we do...because of our little one...is use cloth diapers, handmade wipes - from recycled receiving blankets, wear mostly only hand-me-downs and thrift store baby clothes and accessories and buy organic and natural products for the tub.
elkesten[at]yahoo[dot]com
My husband and I are trying hard to be mindful of the environment and our impact. I telecommute and carpool, we eliminated magazines and do our banking online, my co-worker and I started recycling at our work, we make all of our house cleaners now, we use glass storage containers, we eat most organic food and local food, we wash everything on cold, and are putting up a clothes line to dry clothes, soon! More to come. alison[dot]heintz[at]gmail[dot]com
We use cloth tote bags for all our shopping, not just at the grocery store.
katiekarr at gmail dot com
What a cute toy and an exciting contest. I love reading all the posts about what others are doing to help the environment! We do all that we can - cloth diapers and wipes, canvas shopping bags, recycling, cloth napkins, hybrid cars, etc . . . we convinced both our sets of parents to buy hybrid as well. . . What I am most proud of though is the clothes sharing system my sisters and some friends have developed. My daughters are wearing clothes that at LEAST 4 other little girls got to enjoy!!! Thanks for this chance.
That is such a cute rabbit! To help the environment, my family has been recycling and reusing things whenever we can. =)
ticole96(at)msn(dot)com
Use it up, wear it out, make it do, or do without! We also invested in CFLs and a battery charger and rechargable batteries!
We are always looking for new ways to help the environment. Currently we use cloth diapers, recycle, use a high efficiency washer, use natural cleaning products, use metal water containers instead of plastic. We also have reusable sandwich bags (wrap-n-mat).
WE don't own a car (by choice) so we walk almost everywhere we go. We reuse all of our old teddie peanut butter glasses as drinking glasses or food storage. WE use a clothesline in the warmer months & we don't buy paper towels ever.
Thanks!
We're really working on doing things around the house to become more "green". We just started using cloth diapers for both boys. We use reusable shopping bags or get paper bags if we forget them. We drive less and make sure we turn off lights when we leave the room. We're currently working on a green garden too. Chemical free! We buy mostly organic when available. We live in a small town so we don't have a lot of choice int that matter. We recycle and are even teaching our 2 year old to be more responsible about his actions and how they effect the environment. He thinks it's fun to do things differet. :) sdking1981@yahoo.com
We put all of our errand running into one day....saves on gasoline AND pollution! Thanks! meg.wilson@gmail.com
We turn off lights we are not using, drink tap water from our Sigg bottles, turn off the water while we brush our teeth, and recycle!

We compost our table scraps and use reusable bottles rather than disposable ones, among many other things. Thanks!
We recycle, we started using clothe diapers and wipes, we're looking into using more green cleaning products!
I love Peter Rabbit! Our family uses cloth diapers and hangs our laundry to dry when the weather permits. Reusable shopping bags, hybrid cars, CFL's, etc. We are looking into buying a wind generator, too.
We would like to win a sister of Peter Rabbit!
We are helping the environment by collecting cans...not just our own, but whenever we are walking we pick them up. We pick up other garbage items when out for walks most often.
Thanks for the review and giveaway!

Cute! I know my daughter would love to cuddle Peter Rabbit while reading the book of the same name.
We help the environment by turning off lights and opening windows during the day, living close to where we work, being careful consumers, etc. To be honest, I'd like to do even more than we already do, but every journey begins with just a few small steps, right?
These are so cute! We're doing our part by using cloth diapers and wipes, and recycling as much other paper, etc. as we can too. :)
We love Peter Rabbit. We have 1 vehicle, use cloth diapers, wipes, live off-grid on wind, solar and wood :).
I love Peter Rabbit. Lil' Sugar Needs one of these.
As for the environment, I limit my water use, and while I can't do much about the distances I have to drive, I try to avoid quick acceleration, braking, acceleration uphill, and other gas guzzling driving practices (since I started paying attention to how I drove, my mileage has improved.) If I have a local errand, I ride my bicycle. We also only use the air/heat when we have to.
We have a CD player in the bathroom and a CD I made with 2 songs on that equal about 6 minutes. We start it before we get in and get out when the songs are up. We save water doing this. But be careful with CD players and water. Make sure your player is far from the shower or sink!

Peter Rabbit is adorable!!
We go green by recycling, carpooling, using solar lamps on our lawn and we use reusable totes when shopping :)
Go green!
We are composting our non-meat table scraps. Peter Rabbit would be proud!
tiffany (dot) merritt (at) gmail (dot) com
By driving a hybrid, combining errands, bringing our own bags, growing our own food, recycling!
Peter Rabbit is soo cute. To help the enviroment we recycle, use cloth diapers, and reuse items as much as possible. My favorite thing to reuse is plastic shopping bags for my trash cans. I never buy trash bags for them. We also have a small garden in the back yard. To conserve water, I ketch the water as I'm waiting for it to get hot at the kitchen sink and use the water for my plants and garden. (It's usually about a gallon +)
oops here's the email address for hclifton
hclifton@marykay.com
i make my own baby wipes, which are washable and reusable, and i use cloth diapers. most recently, we installed rain barrels at our house to conserve water. oh, and i keep a bucket in the bathroom to collect up all the water i use while waiting for the shower to get warm.

We recycle everything and use cloth bags instead of paper & plastic ones.
dolls123[at]gmail[dot]com
Cloth diapers! We are loving it! We also recycle as much as we can.
We recycle, and reuse things such as plastic water bottles over and over. We're also going to use cloth diapers, once she gets big enough to fit into the small diaper covers (she's a preemie, and those are much harder to find!)
#1: I LOVE Peter Rabbit and his family and friends. I read the books when I was a kid, and I'm in love with the new stuffed toy.
#2: Well, I started reading Gorgeously Green, quickly found many ways to help the environment.
*No longer buying storebought dyes for our hair, we are purchasing from Eco Colors or Henna Company.
*Using more chemical free soaps from Kiss my face, or Blooming lotus
*Using Epsom Salts in our baths instead of other chemical infused products.
How cute are these little rabbits?!!!? My daugher would love it! My family remembers to "Turn It Off", The lights,t.v., electronics when you leave the room, the water while you are brushing your teeth, washing pots and pans, shaving, etc... Every drop counts!
Rgscheller@aol.com
To help the environment we try to recycle as much as possible. We also carpool whenever we can or take public transit.
We are trying to do a lot of things. We reduce the amount of packaging we buy, use reusable bags at the store, recycle as much as we can, compost kitchen waste, plant a garden, etc. But of course, it would always be great todo more!
What a great giveaway!! My family is helping the environment by recycling and preserving as much energy as we can. We also try to eat organically and walk when we can.
We are taking shorter showers, recycling EVERYTHING, and trying to make more eco-purchases.
Let's see, we're recycling as usual, composting, using re-usable bags at the store, and growing a garden.
We use public transportation, take short showers, buy from farmers markets, buy green and organic whenever we can, recycle everything, and limit consumerism.
